Friends of Taupo Swamp

At Cratos, we take pride in supporting local environmental initiatives, and one of our key partnerships is with the Friends of Taupō Swamp & Catchment (FOTSC). This passionate volunteer group is dedicated to restoring and preserving the unique swampland surrounding our office, working tirelessly to enhance biodiversity and protect the natural ecosystem.

As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we contribute by deploying drone technology to assist FOTSC in their conservation efforts. Our drones provide an aerial perspective of their working areas, helping them monitor progress, assess changes in the landscape, and plan restoration projects more effectively—all without the need for invasive entry into sensitive habitats.

By combining expertise in unmanned aerial systems with FOTSC’s hands-on conservation work, we’re helping to ensure that this valuable wetland continues to thrive for generations to come.
