Cratos has significant experience in supporting classroom education for Primary and Secondary schools and explaining the uses of drones in the future.

Integrating drone education into primary and secondary school curricula is a forward-looking approach that equips students with valuable skills and knowledge in emerging technologies. In these educational programs, students can engage in hands-on activities and interactive lessons that demystify the principles of drone technology.

The curriculum may cover topics ranging from the basics of applications and engineering to the ethical use of drones in society. Practical exercises, such as interacting with drones, programming flight paths, or controlled drops, allow students to apply theoretical concepts tangibly to the real world.

Plimmerton School Drone Day

At Cratos, we believe in fostering a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an early age. That’s why we’ve partnered with Plimmerton School to support their school-wide STEM development through drone technology.

As part of this initiative, we hosted a ‘Drone Day’, where students had the opportunity to learn about the many applications of drones, watch live demonstrations, and even witness a milk bottle drop from the sky! To take the experience further, we invited a group of enthusiastic students to our office for a hands-on session—giving them the chance to see, learn about, and operate drones themselves.

By making technology accessible and engaging, we aim to inspire young minds and encourage the next generation of innovators, engineers, and environmentalists.

Pauatahanui Lamb and Calf Day

For the past two years, Cratos has proudly supported Pauatahanui School’s Lamb and Calf Day, an important community event that raises funds to enhance the school’s education programmes.

As part of our contribution, we use drone technology to capture aerial footage of the event, showcasing the day’s activities from a unique perspective. We then edit and refine the footage, helping the school create engaging promotional content to attract even more support in the future.

By combining technology with community engagement, we’re helping Pauatahanui School share their story, reach a wider audience, and continue providing valuable learning opportunities for its students.
